According to the Deparment of Labor, "the median annual earnings of salaried real estate agents, including commissions, were $30,930 in 2002. The middle 50 percent earned between $21,010 and $52,860 a year, while the highest 10 percent earned more than $83,780."
Concerning real estate brokers, the Department of Labor reports that the "median annual earnings of salaried real estate brokers, including commission, were $50,330 in 2002. The middle 50 percent earned between $29,240 and $90,170 a year while the highest 10 percent earned more than $145,600 a year."
